Refreshingly great quality laptop case
As someone who has been carrying a 15-inch MacBook Pro around with me everywhere I go in a DSLR camera backpack it’s been quite refreshing to use a slim briefcase for the times I don’t need to take my camera with me. In the past few weeks, I’ve had several occasions to travel sans camera and I love taking my MBP around in style using the Brookfield Leather Slim Brief messenger-style bag by Solo.
DETAILS
The Brookfield Leather Slim Brief is part of Solo’s ROADSTER COLLECTION. It features the tagline Polished. Poised. Exclusive. And, honestly, that sums this bag up quite nicely. The bag is crafted from pebbled leather with metal hardware accenting the exterior. There is dark camo lining which makes it both sophisticated and unique for any personal or professional outing. USER EXPERIENCE
As someone who constantly over-packs, I have found it hard to move away from always taking my camera, lenses, and other gear everywhere I go. I like to be prepared. Lately, I’ve have made some trips that didn’t make sense to have my DSLR with me. It would just slow me down and would not come into play what’s so ever so I started using the Solo Brookfield Leather Slim Brief. It’s been the perfect size for quick trips that just require my laptop and a few accessories. I found it to have plenty of pockets for my laptop, iPad, AirPods, external batteries, paperwork I might need, and other small accessories. I like how compartments are divided and how easy it is to keep contents organized.
The leather is a pebble leather and is very soft. The strap is not overbearing and feels good when draping the bag over the shoulder. I am a real fan of this bag. I do however have two things I would like to see updated. The first would be the zipper pocket on the side. I would like to see it be just a bit wider and two I would like to have just a bit more padding at the bottom for laptops. If you are putting your laptop in a sleeve before placing it in the bag it’s not such a big deal but for someone just sliding the laptop inside the extra padding would help from times the bag is sat down onto the ground harder than expected.
CONCLUSION
I really enjoy this bag. I have been finding myself using it more and more lately. It’s high-quality look and feel make for a very professional bag. As someone who constantly needs to take everything with me this bag gives me the space to pack what I need while looking sharp.
